In Ezra chapter one the returning and rebuilding of God’s house started with God stirring a man in his spirit. That is how God’s work always begins. Someone is awoken. Someone is moved to action.

When was the last time you were stirred in your spirit? We are often like a James Bond martini.

It doesn’t take much more than an unkind word or some bad news to shake our entire world. But when it comes to being stirred in our spirit, we are like a rock – unmovable.

Remember, when it comes to God’s work. Nothing will ever really start until someone is stirred.
